Chicago is a disaster, wracked by crime, poverty, pessimism, and bad top-down leadership.
While Mayor Lightfoot appears to be uninterested in addressing the crime problem, the criminals are enacting their own brand of justice — even if it is “accidental.”
On Tuesday night, about 11 p.m., a bad guy intent on robbing a residence in Chicago’s “Jeffrey Manor” area inadvertently shot and murdered his partner.
A physical conflict began after the resident yelled for help, and two other men–a 24-year-old and a 25-year-old–came racing.
During the scuffle, one of the accused intruders’ firearms discharged, shooting the other purported intruder in the chest.
A 49-year-old male in the 9500-block of South Calhoun Avenue in the Jeffrey Manor area heard a loud disturbance at his front door just after 11 p.m., according to ABC 7 Chicago. According to CPD, two masked, armed individuals pushed their way inside when he went to investigate.
Two more males, ages 25 and 24, heard the disturbance in the basement and ran upstairs to assist the man.
According to Chicago police, the three guys in the house struggled with the two home invaders, and one of the home invaders’ firearms discharged bullets during the scuffle.
According to CPD, one of the suspects was shot in the chest and died at the scene.
