2nd Presidential Debate Moderator worked as an intern for Biden in college

Steve Scully, the moderator of the 2nd Presidential debate scheduled for October 15th, who works as C-SPAN Senior Executive Producer & Political Editor worked as an intern for Joe Biden in college.

Utah Valley University wrote in a bio of Scully “While attending college, he served as an intern in the office of Delaware Sen. Joseph R. Biden, and later a staff assistant in Sen. Edward M. Kennedy’s media affairs office,”

In addition, Scully shared an article in March of 2016 titled “No, Not Trump, Not Ever.”

In a statement following the first debate, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced  “Last night’s debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues. The CPD will be carefully considering the changes it will adopt and will announce those measures shortly.”

President Trump responded to the news by tweeting “Why would I allow the Debate Commission to change the rules for the second and third Debates when I easily won last time?”

Trump campaign official Jason Miller said “President Trump fully plans on participating in and winning both the second and third debates in the presidential contest here.”

He added “So we feel very confident but there should not be any changes to what’s been agreed to and set out, and it’s pretty notable that the Biden camp is pushing for some of these changes for the simple fact that their candidate did not win on Tuesday.”
